Kalamitsi Hotel is a quiet place, a special retreat created to please the senses and to elevate the mind. This was the inspiration that brought it into being. Established for almost 20 years now, the hotel is owned and managed by the extremely well-respected Ponireas family, a distinguished family whose hospitality is impeccably unobtrusive and welcoming. They are attentive, professional hoteliers with a keen eye for detail and subtlety: this enchanting complex is built in traditional Mani-style stone and wood, and its classic chic décor creates an exclusive, relaxing and spacious ambience. At just half a kilometre south of the village centre, and nestled amongst olive groves and orchards on a gentle bluff that dips into a small, private cove, the hotel benefits from its prestigious location in Kalamitsi Bay – a unique position that offers breathtaking views of the Messinian Gulf seas and sunsets, unparalleled peace, and short distances to the village and Kalamitsi Beach. The establishment also boasts a private bar and restaurant, rendering it all the more ideal as a base for excursions and holidays in the Mani. |

Guestrooms |
Kalamitsi has a total of 45 guest quarters: a generous selection of tastefully-decorated single/double rooms or suites in the main guest house and several fully-furnished apartments or bungalows in the surrounding wings (each of which accommodates up to 5 guests). Floor plans vary, but all lodgings have en suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, TV, telephone/Internet connection and private balconies. All sleeping quarters have beds with orthopaedic mattresses and all kitchenettes are, of course, fully-equipped. Interiors are traditional/contemporary, with wood fittings and furniture that make for comfortable and intimate living spaces. Front doors open directly into paved gardens and terraces decorated with flowers and plants; verandas look out onto placid, uninterrupted vistas of the sea and surrounding countryside. All lodgings are serviced by caring and friendly staff on a daily basis, with sheets/towels changed every other day. This accommodation is perfectly suited for singles, couples, small families or groups. |

Features |
The hotel extends a completely leisurely, pleasurable and relaxing permanence through and through: all lodgings have modern amenities and the atrium features a small library and a cosy lounge that has a fireplace, satellite TV and Internet facilities. Whereas lunches/dinners can be added at a modest surcharge, the complimentary buffet breakfast can be enjoyed at the restaurant in the main garden or at the bar on the trellised terrace – both of which are, for all occasions, extremely inviting areas. There is generous private parking space just outside reception and around the wings, and tiled paths and ramps provide easy access around the olive groves and down to the private beach, which is just metres away from the hotel complex. Kalamitsi has a sterling reputation, both in Greece and worldwide, as the finest hotel in Kardamili. With its paved driveways, lavishly arched entrances and spacious hallways, the carefully-studied, stylish environment caters to the discerning client who is partial to exclusive and tranquil atmospheres. |
